About Us...
As the founders of Soul Showers, both Max and Dionne have a shared vision to provide mobile showers and other much needed services for those less fortunate in the community providing some of the most basic needs — hygiene, health, clean clothes, relationship, restoration of self-worth, and renewal of family.

Dionne previously worked in property management for over 25 years, including low-income housing for families, the disabled, and seniors. Observing firsthand that there was a lack of support, advocacy, and caring relationships for those less fortunate she then went on to obtain a degree in Human Services, and worked at the Washington State Department of Health and Social Services. However, her desire was to work with these individuals on a more personal level and this led to becoming a Washington State Certified Peer Support Specialist leading to a job at the local Community Mental Health organization. Working closely with individuals dealing with drug addictions, mental health illnesses, poverty, and homelessness it became clear that being able to take a full shower and put on clean clothes, especially underclothes, was a rarity for many, mainly due to accessibility, and that is what we are striving to change or at least make more accessible.
Max also has a heart for the same mission and was a volunteer, driver, and logistics manager with a large organization in Modesto, CA who managed a food bank and clothing outreach at the local parks for 5 years. In discussing what some of the biggest challenges were for those who are homeless and what they could do, as individuals, that would be impactful and engage and educate the community SOUL Showers was born (Showers of Unconditional Love).
